The health of a nation can be  gauged from the rubbish found in the nation’s garbage bins


The often repeated slogan,” You are what you eat, it a reflection of its truth.”
 “In fast food nation”  Eric Schlosser made this significant statement about the root cause of sickness.in America.
‘A  generation ago, three-quarters of the money that used to buy food in the united states, was spent to prepare meals at home. Today, half of that money is spent in restaurants-mainly at fast food restaurants.” This is the dark side of the all American meal.  There is a direct link between the food we eat and the sickness we get.
America may be the most advanced country in the economy, technology, and science, but she is also the country that has the most chronically sick population. The largest sector of the population usually dies from degenerative diseases such as cancers, heart disease, and chronic lower respiratory diseases. According to google search.
The garbage contents of most households in Malaysia represent the variety of food and liquid that have entered the consumer's digestive system.  Such  samples  are plastic bottles, food wrappers, fruit juice containers, canned food tins, plastic bags,pizza boxes, soft drinks bottles, plastic  spoons, forks, plates  and straws, bones from animals, chickens , vegetables leaves, fruits skins, detergent bottles, discarded household items, such as old brushes, broom,  old clothes, shoes  and  damaged items.
Plastic related rubbishes are from manufactured, factory processed food or drinks. This means the food or drinks have been adulterated with preservatives, food colouring matters, food conditioners, anticaking agents,flavor enhancers such as  MSG, acidifier,bleaching agents,pasting agents, stabilizers,bactericides, seasonings,leavening agents emulsifiers,edible starch textured vegetables protein, stabilizer for pudding and jelly,stabilizer for icecream,antioxidants,enzyme, potassium chloride,contract agent, bitter remover, burnt potassium alum,Glycerol,antifoam powder,modified starch,licorex sorbitol solutions, cheap food substitutes such as margarines to replace butter, all these artificial ingredients, though small in amount, consumed over a long period of time can affect negatively the health of the masses,  no study also has been undertaken to see the interaction of all these artificial chemicals in the food, how they  react and produce harmful by products in the digestive system of the masses.
These non-organic, artificial chemicals surely will produce long-term ill effects on the population and  by visiting www.worldlifeexpectancy.com , we will see how the world population in each nation, dies by what disease, at what age group, and how it affects the health and well being of the population at large. If everything that has been approved by the health authority and allowed to be used in the food industry is really safe, how come, the health of masses tells a different story.
The question is, before world war II the practice of vaccination and inoculation of babies were not imposed upon the population, the generation that was born before 1940 were relatively healthier than those who born after.  The sanitation of most countries once improved such as clean water supply, proper disposal of waste such as human excrements, rubbish collection, the introduction of refrigeration of food in freezer, the general population were less likely to die from infectious diseases such as cholera, dysentery or tuberculosis. However, the general population after world war II in spite of the improvement in health care, are more likely to die from non –communicable diseases such as cancers, heart diseases, and stroke.
A visit to Wikipedia reveals that many famous personalities lived to a ripe old age without the benefit of vaccination or inoculations. Roger Bannister died at age 88; Billy Graham at age 99 died on 21Feb 2018; Hubert De Givenchy died at age 91; Barbara Bush at age 92 died on 17 April 2018; Henry Kissinger died at age 95  and Jimmy Carter at age 94 Malaysian actress Lai Meng at age 90.
Just like the Amish people who live on the good earth where their food comes from, they have the least amount of cancer death, most of these older folks who lived to good old age, eat from the earth’s natural produce, and less dependent on the supermarket, processed food. The connection between health and natural food is quite easy to understand.
If processed food is the chief contributor of sickness and ill health, why it is the government has not raised alarm over this culprit of rising medical crisis? The simple answer is health is a personal and individual matter, a government cannot impose on its citizen what they can and cannot eat.
The food industry players add a tiny amount of chemical additives to extend the shelf life of its products and make the food looks attractive, however, kills slowly but surely. Much like killing by installment over a long period of time. Besides, the immune system of an individual can delay the dying process without being affected immediately by the tiny amount of toxins hidden in the food. The tiny bits of toxins, here and there,  now and in the future, accumulated over a long period of time deposited all over  the cells and tissues of the body will in the long term, manifest its ill effects, in one’s evening of life, when the immune system is slow to protect and  the ability to reverse  out the toxins  is not effectively efficient.
By living a life depending on eating food from the earth, and avoid factory processed food, and drinking pure water, sleeping  about  seven to eight hours  a night, exercise  regularly and adequately , one may escape the tragic cycle of most old folks, spending the last ten years of one’s life in and out of hospital before being pronounced death and the family members forced to  foot a huge medical bills for  all the treatment and drugs and medical attention. What a sad way to say goodbye to this earth.
